Ana Maria Gonzales created a chest in decoupage style to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe. The name of it is Decoupage chest, ‘Beloved Virgin of Guadalupe’. The Virgin of Guadalupe is a figure especially loved and revered by the people of Mexico. Her famous image is said to have appeared miraculously on the robe of St. Juan Diego, with Juan Diego holding Castilian roses. These roses were carried to prove the appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe. St. Juan Diego proposed to the bishop, of Spanish decent, that a church be built in her honor. She was given the name as one who is the Americas’ patron of saint. This name provided by Pope John Paull II. To this day, Our Lady of Guadalupe is honored and celebrated each December 12. The price tag on this chest is $34.95.
